I think he has some Faulk-like things about him--but Faulk was the most elusive back I've ever seen in a Rams uniform. He had moves within moves and sometimes you could not see it all until the slo-mo replay. Akers can be elusive and shifty but it's not like that.

What Akers has that Faulk didn't (based on the little I've seen so far) is great contact balance and physicality for his size (which isn't small but you know what I mean.) Faulk could just flat avoid being hit, while Akers takes hits and keeps churning. Akers turns what might ordinarily be hits into glancing blows.

He also appears to have great vision in traffic, which Faulk had too.
