Snead understands what the team needs and we let draft come to us or we go to the point so it comes to us.
Jefferson did not run at combine due to Jones foot injury. That dropped him and he was expected to be drafted in 2nd round.
Now the skill level of Jefferson ala Kupp with even more speed and the football IQ is more valuable then all the 40 time hype. Jefferson played well against top DBs in college and his skill as a route runner will translate in our offense to a very exploisive combination.
Cam Akers has the all around ability to be as good as any RB in the draft but was in a horrible offense so you don't always forecast on his potential as you are focusing on more flashy highly productive system guys like Dobbins who I like.
This is what Snead shines at finding RB gems and working selecting Coach and scheme friendly picks.
I hate losing top picks but I respect the moxy of knowing that you know what you want and what you are looking for in a player as it relates to what you do.
Nothing is perfect but I see both players impacting this team in the long run at 1st round value. Remember Taylor Rapp? Hard not to appreciate what he has done good.
Los Angeles Rams
Rap on.
