The mistake the Rams made with Wagner/Kendicks was trading back 2 spots (#46 to #48) when they only had 2 guys the liked. They went #46 (Kendricks) and #47 (Wagner) and the Rams were screwed.
That was bad. But that wasn't the scenario I proposed.
I can't see why a team would opt for randomly picking 1 guy out of 5 if the opportunity to trade back is there. Thankfully, the Rams see it the same way I do.
