LMU93's annual aggregated Draft list (Top 176 overall)

Hi everyone-

I skipped this last year since I was in Nashville for the Draft (sort of...). I'm returning with this aggregated top 176 overall for the 2020 Draft. Why 176? Just how it ended up...

What this is: My attempt to take some of the leading draft analyst sites and "average out" all their rankings to create one list showing the overall 'consensus' of where a player falls. I started this maybe 8-9 years ago after getting exhausted trying to follow along thumbing through various top 100/200 lists as the Draft started moving faster and faster. This put it all in one place for me and showed me who was really consider top 10, top 50, etc. For example, Chase Young's rankings total 9 overall (2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2) with an average of 1.29 overall- best of any player. Burrow had the 2nd best score. Someone like Darnay Holmes of UCLA had an exact average score of 113- and he was the 113th best player rated. And on and on...

The sites I pulled from for 2020 were:
NFL Rough Draft, NFL Draft Ace, Drafttek, Daniel Jeremiah's Top 150, NFL Draft Countdown, NFL Draft Guru and The Huddle Report. I didn't include lists like Gil Brandt's or PFF's as those tend to have some wild outliers at the top and bottom. And these 7 sites are highly rated annually for having among the best 'actual' top 100 players selected. I would have probably included McShay's but couldn't get access to his. A few, like Draft Ace, only went to 100 overall. Others went to 200 or even more. Etc. I adjusted the averages accordingly.

Anyway, this is not scientific or 100% accurate by any means but it tends to work pretty well as far as identifying "value"...I will pretty much guarantee that multiple players in the 35-45 overall range here will be on the board when the Rams come up at #52. When I did this in 2018 the team picking 52nd (CHI) still had 8 of the top 50 on my list still on the board.

This also does not account for scheme fits at all. The raw list I assembled from these sites started with about 250 players and I whittled it down from there. For example, anyone who did not even appear on at least 4 of the 7 sites was deleted right away- if two sites rated a player 120th and 135th overall but the other five didn't even have them anywhere in the top 200-250 I wasn't going to include them. Further cuts made from there.
