that’s part of the skepticism
people say I’m negative but I say i’m not being negative I’m looking at what we have
and right now we don’t know what we have
In the 2018 off season we knew we had. It was staring us all on the face. We knew we were one of the best teams in football. A lot has changed since then
Here’s the thing although COVID is seriously disrupting how teams do business adding the right veteran RB or OL as teams get into cuts can help. The draft can help. We have to see if AD and Goff restructure too
so there is some wiggle room... but I get what your saying. I mean losing Cooks in the second half of the season completely changed the way defenses dealt with the Rams pass game. Some of that lead to Higbee, some it lead to teams being able to shutdown Kupp as a featured part of the O. Now we are going to see what that looks like for a season.
On the oline one or two of these olinemen need to come through and develop. Just an example would be Noteboom and Evans. Maturation of these two athletes can go a long way to shoring up what appears to be a patch work oline. Who is going to run the ball? Is Goff going to play better? Does he elevate his game as result of normal maturation? What impact does a lack of OTAs have on him and the offense in general?
How do they install the defense with a new coach?
Man there is a lot so I get it
