I mean, the Rams certainly don’t have a reputation of being petty or cheap with their players or coaches.
And Kroenke is hardly cash strapped.
I seriously doubt that the Rams can’t read the terms of the respective contracts and the new CBA.
Know what? It could be something as simple as some FO staff missing during this Covid home sheltering time and/or being swamped with work.
I’ll give you an example. My family was scheduled for a Princess cruise later this month already fully paid for. Princess graciously gave all their scheduled passengers two options when this Covid mess was just getting started. Opt for a future cruise up to 2 years into the future at a tremendous discount Or take one’s money back now with the ability to book a future cruise with a more modest discount. That’s a win-win for all parties. We chose the latter option but it’s turning out that they need 60 days to process all the refunds. Hell, I’m okay with that. I can’t imagine all the involved paperwork and with a drastically reduced staff due to the virus mandated rules.
My point is that a little patience goes a long way under extreme circumstances. Both Gurley and Matthews failed that simple test. It’s not as if they were broke and living on the street. Shame on them.
