I don't think they should be making these kinda claims this early...it's not good for anyone to hear these kind of things. People need hope right now, not worst case scenarios
Sorry, but "hope" isn't a plan. I want the TRUTH based on the best scientific/medical evidence that can be gathered.
California has clearly been the national leader in terms of "bending the curve." No doubt because its leadership has been very aggressive in following the advice of the medical community. I don't believe that the governor will risk a potential 2nd economic downturn by prematurely relaxing the social distancing rules that has helped the state avoid what we're seeing in NYC and Louisiana.
As much as I hate to say it...I think we're done for the year in terms of ALL sports in California.
But that is not the TRUTH.... it's some doctors opinion , I'm sure for every doom and gloom prediction you will also have a another "expert" who would say we might be good to go by June
We will have to disagree on this.
Although I'm sure that there will be a scientist or two that will say that, because
only 400 Americans died on one day instead of 500 from the previous, that we're "good to go" by June. Just like the 3 scientists who still deny climate change...or the 4 who believe the moon landing was choreographed on a Hollywood soundstage. But unless a vaccine can be developed, mass produced, and widely distributed, most medical experts in the field of epidemiology seem to be on the same scientific page - we need to keep up social distancing policies. Relaxing them prior to getting a vaccine could result in a second outbreak which would only result in more loss of life and economic hardship.
Can you imagine the economic hardship if this does last into Thanksgiving??? That would be catastrophic
Way too many businesses rely on people being able to be together.
I'm gonna try to remain optimistic and hope that this will be behind us enough to get back to being social by July.
