..and, yeah, I like the idea of a fan contest for tickets.. its not like they wouldn't get a zillion entries and if they didn't like any of them, then use what they had and claim its from a fan.. Cuz I don't care WHO the designer is - if they don't like the Rams, they shouldn't be designing the logo, anyway...
There might be a legal issue with a fan submitted logo. The "fan" would have to agree to waive all rights to it to avoid any "ownership" issues and royalties and things like that.
IMO, that's why they couldn't use the one you and CL created\edited. Due to legal reasons, it just wasn't going to happen.
As I said before, All they had to do was release their top 5-10 choices and have the fans vote on which are liked the most. The could always "manipulate" the results anyway in case they didn't agree. At the very least, by doing the poll, they could have said 'well this is what most people wanted".
What a novel concept for success...give the customers (fans) what they want!! Qu'ils mangent de la brioche!! Let them eat cake!!

#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
