I am more and more convinced that the Rams want Rodrigo Blankenship as our new kicker. Remember we used our 6th round pick last draft on a player who was specifically drafted for our Special Team and Kicker is a crucial position if you want to do well in the NFL. I'm not saying Rodrigo is a sure fire success in the NFL but he looks like a good option and if he is the man that the Rams want, then they are going to have to go out and grab him.
Georgia Southern's Tyler Bass is also a kicker who could be drafted and the 6th seems about right. Some feel Bass has a higher ceiling then Blankenship as Blankenship has been more consistent, however, Bass has made some big kicks with games on the line, whereas, Blankenship has missed some big ones, although some would debate Georgia has bigger games then Georgia Southern. Bass was the star of the Senior Bowl, where this Ram regime likes to lurk, so I do believe they have their eye on a rookie, I'm just not convinced it's'Rodrigo.
