I am more and more convinced that the Rams want Rodrigo Blankenship as our new kicker. The guy has already got a cult fallowing and LA loves a star, he also happens to be the best kicker coming out of college this draft. Only issue is that the Pat's are also looking for a kicker and are being heavily linked with Hot Rod and they also happen to have 3 7th round and 4 6th round picks. Are any other teams likely to be looking to draft a kicker this year?
I think we are going to have to use 199 if we are going to get and I would be happy with that move. Remember we used our 6th round pick last draft on a player who was specifically drafted for our Special Team and Kicker is a crucial position if you want to do well in the NFL. I'm not saying Rodrigo is a sure fire success in the NFL but he looks like a good option and if he is the man that the Rams want, then they are going to have to go out and grab him.
