a lot of teams play their starters (if at all) only for a few series and the are not going all out when they do in a meaningless game.

The Niners season was over when they played the Rams and that team had an anemic pass rush.

As for point three they also said good things about Allen and he was just awful.

I need a better sample size to make a real assessment rather than just coach speak. Sometimes coaches don't have an alternative so they have to go with what they have.
