Ramsey is under contract for 2020 already as the 5th year option on his rookie contract. His salary and cap hit for 2020 are the same figure: $13,703,000.

If Ramsey is extended the extension takes effect in 2021. Technically the Rams could tear up that 5th year option and sign Ramsey to a new deal that starts in 2020 but that is not what they have done with other players (see Gurley & Goff) and there's no reason to think they will shift gears with Ramsey.
