As far as the league not respecting Shaw has "stopped". Not so. He is still well respected among ownership and is often called to consult with them on significant matters-not the least being stadium funding and television rights and revenue. He is not sitting alone in his office on Pico Blvd. in West L.A.
Upon being elevated to President of the Ram organization he did precisely what he was promoted to do. Allow Georgia and her immediate family to become financially competitive with all the other owners in the NFL-most of whom were far superior to her in their non football holdings.
As far as the football product on the field, for over a dark decade, I am no lover of anyone in that organization. But there were misdeeds, miscalculations, and failures to be shared all throughout the organization.
