They say the film is in development, but they already have a release date? That's not usually how those things work. Lionsgate and other studios do have faith-based films they release. However, those movies are usually only shown theatrically in certain parts of the country where christian films do well. So it might not be playing at your local multiplex depending on where you live. They do feed a big secondary market - DVD, Blu-Ray, and digital download / on demand - so we can all see it that way.
I'm curious to see how it comes out. Some can be pretty well-made, others can be pretty weak. Hopefully they have a good filmmaking team in place. No mention of that in the article.
