I think Whit is a great way to keep a solid Vet on the OLINE.
I'm also a BIG FAN of rookie development, especially in years 2-3......Here's my take on this OLINE topic.
David Edwards and Bobby Evans showed last year they have what it takes to play in the NFL. Now, with 1 full off season in an NFL weight room, along with a very solid diet.....Along with technique work and film study.....These 2 players can basically play both G/T spots.
Havenstein will be our RT.....He played through an injury last season, that's obvious. He was as good a RT as you can get in the previous year. I know, I'm very partial to my Wisconsin OLINEMEN, but they are the HOGS of college football and I like em'.
OLINE so far.....and of course I totally forget about Noteboom.......So, there's another guy in years 2-3.
LT...WHIT
LG....EDWARDS or EVANS.
C.....?
RG...EDWARDS or EVANS.
RT....HAVS
So, with "C" basically being our only hole......I for sure DRAFT a "C"......A BIG OFFENSIVE CENTER......Blythe, Corbett, Allen and Rookie "C" can battle it out in camp
