Fowler is about to get 12-14 million.
Fowler signed a 1 year deal this past year that paid him up to $14M with incentives which he likely reached given his 11.5 sacks. He's not going to sign for something lower than that.
The salary range for starting edge defenders that have recently signed 2nd contracts is $16.5M to $23.5M. Za'Darius Smith is the lowest and he signed last year for $16.5M after coming off a season with 8.5 sacks. If single digit sack numbers gets you $16.5, then Fowler is looking at more than that given his better numbers and the fact that salaries increase every year.
Dee Ford signed for $17M last year coming off a 13 sack season and 2 sacks the previous year.
I'd say we're looking at about $17M to $18M for Fowler. I don't think he gets up into the DeMarcus Lawrence and Khalil Mack range of 20 plus million.
