4638 yards is prolific... Rams Single Season Passing Leaders

I appreciate the fact that the NFL rules favor the passing game in 2020. It was not a clean season. However, in all fairness, there were a lot of Kemp, Rutledge, Brock, Dils, Miller, Walsh, Banks, Keenum, Foles, Davis, Harvard, Martin, Clemens, Boller, Hill years when I wished the Rams QB could produce a 4600-yard passing game behind a poor offensive line with a disappointing running game. Goff very well may end up the Rams career passing leader before another QB becomes the Rams regular starting QB.

I remember watching Goff in McVay's offense for the first time in 2017 and thinking he reminded me of Eric Kramer. I thought he was a rhythm QB, with a slight build who could get streaky hot and work the mid-level routes. During the Rams Vikings games in 2018, the thought came to mind if everything was right with strong online protection and quality receivers just for a moment Goff made me think of the pure passing of Moon. He has also given me Banks flashbacks. I like Goff's arm talent. I like Goff's durability. I like his play-action game, I like his even keel nature. The waggle plays this year were a nice addition to his pro game. He needs to protect the football. I wondered about Goff wearing a glove as Kurt Warner did in the later years of his career. I am hopeful that Goff continues to improve in his time with McVay with better protection and a franchise RB. I would like to see this coach and QB win a SB before their era ends.
