he helped his team put 44 pts before that.
Didn't exactly shut him down.
Sometimes it takes all game for it to add up.
They got to him early, and then steadily after that, and by the end he was showing it.
Same thing happened to Brees in the 2013 game, the one where Quinn got the strip sack and recovery. By the end of that game Brees was seeing ghosts too.
Anyway 44 points is less than 55
Last year was Mahomes first year as a starter.
He is much more comfortable in Reid's offense this year.
Can they get to him? Sure, even the greatest QB ever (which Mahomes may end up being) can be beat, but using last year against us as a comp is weak.
Mahomes has played in 4 playoff games so far in his short career. His stats are off the charts. Better than any QB ever. 11TD and 0 INT. and 115 rating. That just in 4 playoff games. Unheard of.
The only question is will he regress to a mortal mean against a great defense or is he the Michael Jordan of football.
Doesn't matter. Pressure is pressure. All last year does is illustrate it. There was nothing in that post about The Truth of Mahomes, or any of the stuff you're arguing with. It;s just an example of a qb getting got.
If as you say even the greatest can be beat by consistent pressure, then you essentially agreed with my only and entire point.Honestly, I said it before, you do not have to defend Mahomes to me, or seek some kind of anti-Mahomesite who needs to be set straight. We just have somewhat different versions of essentially the same view of him.
