Anything can happen is a football game especially at this level.
There are 2 factors at play here for me.
One is the the vastly superior QB talent of Mahomes in Reid's offense with a terrific set of weapons. And this is augmented by the current rules that accentuate the passing game. Garoppolo is an average QB. He's middle of the road. He's better than Trent Dilfer, so he can win with the Niners D and excellent run game scheme, but he's not top 10. As long as Mahomes is on, I think he will be too much for the Niners to handle.
OTOH, on the big stage you can't afford to make a blunder on offense, but a slip up on defense wont hurt you nearly as much. So Mahomes has more weight on his shoulders for the Chiefs to win.
I guess I just have enough faith that Mahomes is so special that he won't lock up like other great QBs have in the past.
