The idea that WP does not scheme or adjust or gameplan for the opponent is disproven by those real histories. I mentioned a few examples that are known and were discussed publicly when they happened. Heck if you pay attention to games as they're happening the better analysts on broadcast crews love pointing that stuff out as it's happening.
Another famous example. In 2015 when Denver played the Patz in the conference championship, Wade's D entered that game with 3 different game plans--one in the first half, and then one each for the 3rd and 4th quarters. As a result, that was one of Brady's worst postseason games ever---qb rating of 56.4.
