I know the exact 2 plays being referenced as I was impressed. Typically when I watch other QB's I am quick to note "well, there's a play our guy couldn't make".
Often times it was not so much a throw he couldn't make, but the stepping up in the pocket or sliding over. Put simply, improvising a little.
I think the pre-selected roll outs are really helping him because now he is thinking about moving a bit more. He generally does a good job of keeping his eyes down the field.
Those two plays being referenced give me some hope.
I think, early on, McVay was asking Goff to do more this year and he did not receive a good grade. Perhaps not the sharpest tool in the shed (which way does the sun set, lol). But perhaps he started picking it up mid season. Or perhaps McVay pulled it back a little.
Either way, the play calling got better. Goff started playing better. They started incorporating the Tight Ends. It finally was fun again watching Rams offense.
Goff is a skinny dude, but perhaps keeps him more flexible as much as I'd like to see him bulk up. I heard a pre-draft announcer say that his dad is like 230 or 240 so he expected Goff would eventually add some bulk. We'll see.
