Did he win every play no?... but he won on some of them for sure. There was one play when the pocket was collapsing and he stepped up and looked like he was going to run. A defender got a hand on him and Jared shrugged him off and fired a pass deep to Higbee (I believe)
That is what we need to see more. Better awareness, using his athletic ability more (Goff is an underrated athlete he can move), and urgency to make things happen when things have to go off script.
His game against the Niners was only the second game last year against a good defense that actually had me excited about what he was doing. Easily his best game since the Saints game in week 2...and prior to that the Saints game in the NFCCG
Need more of those games and less of the Steelers, Cowboys, Ravens Browns games
