teams (especially teams who have had some recent success) need to make choices about signing players or not. im not sure that counts as "salary cap trouble" its more like normal operating procedure. there are 2 or 3 teams who are already over the 2020 salary cap. imo such a situation is a "salary cap trouble" scenario.
I’m just pointing to 2 key guys, Littleton and Fowler. Heck, they let go of Saffold last year so they could keep Fowler. Now, they’ll probably let Fowler go. And this doesn’t count all the other players who they can’t keep that will weaken their roster. I can see losing 1 good player, but this goes beyond that.
That’s really the issue, when you have to shed several quality players that weakens your roster because you can’t afford them, you’ve got a CAP ISSUE.
The Rams roster may be weaker in 2020 than 2019, and significantly weaker than it was in 2018. That’s not what you’re aiming for here. But hey, let Snead show us he knows what he’s doing. Color me skeptical.
