if you recall in 2016 a lot of people said gurley did not look the same as he did as a rookie. in 2017 they improved the line and boom, gulery was offensive player of the year. will 2020 follow suit? idk but i would not write him off just yet. and to be fair charles davis later said gurley "looked like the old gurley" on his td run. so its possible the "burst" isnt there as often becasue the holes arent there as often.
Assistant Head Coach Dave McGinnis has said that Gurley was not healthy in 2016. Gurley actually began working with his private trainer, a guy known for working with players who have injury issues, after that season.
He was clearly back to his 2015 self in 2017.
That ended during the 2018 season. It's pretty obvious that he is not the same back now.
But he's not "done"---that's an exaggeration. As shown a few times this year, he can still play. But he's not the same back he was in 2015 or 2017 or even the first half of 2018.
