That's kind of what put us into the hole we are in: losing experienced players (Saffold) and hoping that stop gap players (Noteboom and Allen) would pan out. I realize that we don't have a choice, but I would expect the defense to be even worse next season under those circumstances.
Fowler gets sacks but much of the time he's also getting locked out by the OL he's matched with.
He has clear lapses in effort.
Rarely makes a tackle in the run game.
I believe he had one or two games were he didn't register even one tackle.
He's not the guy to invest more in sorry.
