The matador defense in key 3rd down and 16 seems very strange when the Rams were dominating the 49ers most of the game. It sure seems like the games are rigged for entertainment purposes like WWE these days or Las Vegas betting. I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but I really believe teams are told to throw games. It was plain to see the Rams were dominating the 49ers most of the game and Gurley and the Rams receivers looked unstoppable. Goff throws that weak interception before the half to keep the game close. No wonder Gurley is so pissed most of the season... It's like he knows his talented team was told to hold back. Then to have Samuel just blow by Ramsey uncovered and Rapp guarding the sideline with a 3rd and 16. Where was the prevent defense with safety deep in the middle. That was just ridiculous. Hopefully with the new stadium next year...the Rams are allowed to play to their full potential instead of just going through the motions to take the loss for the good of the NFL entertainment enterprise.
