He has been the young man / Boy Wonder..... The fresh young face of the NFL with a Rah Rah / Can do attitude. I bet he realizes that he BETTER start demanding accountability or his Head Coaching days will be numbered. He has 2020 to get it right or his seat is gonna start feeling a rise in temp. I bet we will still see the "Rah Rah " attitude but with a MUCH shorter fuse. I bet it makes him an ELITE HC!
Those are the Rams' regular season records in the three seasons before and after McVay took over.
Obviously, 8-6 this year is a huge disappointment, and the WAY they've lost a couple games adds a layer of disappointment to that.
But, all in all, his body of accomplishment strongly argues AGAINST dramatically changing whatever he's doing.
And that's not even accounting for the fact that you/we have NO idea what accountability mechanisms he has in place behind the scenes. I, for one, am perfectly fine w/those mechanisms staying behind the scenes. I think it's an extension of "We, Not Me" and may well be one reason free agents - and players in general - apparently want to play for the man.
