That's a favorite theory of some. But I don't see how after an entire season next to Blythe, Havenstein waits until 2019 to "get dragged down" by him. Plus the corrallary on the other side is if Whit depended on interior OL play, as opposed to doing what LOTs are supposed to do and playing on an island, then maybe he was being inflated before because he was playing next to Saffold? I doubt that idea too. Anyway that's just some thoughts.

My view is very simple. Both OTs regressed. All on their own. You can play newbies on the interior but if both OTs regress then playing newbies compounds the problem.

Your view is a reasonable position and the one I lean towards. I was just rethinking it because it's mighty coincidental that Whit has rebounded around the same time that NB/Demby stepped out and Edwards stepped in.

What if it was Edwards' strong play that allowed Whit to handle his island without worry? It's a chicken and an egg thing.
