From a personal standpoint I doubt its that black and white. There are degrees of what you call "flaring up". I have arthritic pain in both of my hips from two total hip replacements. It's always there but there are days when its worse than other days. I don't think any of us knows what's going on with Gurley-only what we either hear from the Rams or what we read on the sports net. The fact that he's on the field this year as opposed to the end of last year doesn't mean he's pain free and not restricted. To me that is simply common sense.[/quote]
This is a semantics game because when I say his knee flares up, which you call acts up, I mean only and specifically and exactly the thing that can happen with a surgically repaired arthritic knee--through high volume wear and tear, it can erupt into severe pain and swelling.
And when that happens we do not have to guess. He can't play when that happens. He is kept out of games and the Rams do report pain and swelling on the injury report.
That is all I am talking about. Anything else to me is off topic.
AND your own personal experience is misleading you. His situation is just not the same as yours. You cannot draw conclusions about his situation from yours. The effort to do so is misleading you.
