Lott deflecting a SURE TD to Flipper in the NFC Title. I actually watched that entire game again last Spring. Rams were playing GREAT till that play. I mean GREAT!!! They were moving the ball. They had already forced a turn over. Lott hustling to make a great play stopped the Rams from going up 10 to 0. Afterwards, the Niners did nothing really special. You could simply see the life drained from the Rams. The Rams had JUST come from games on the road vs FAR better Ds in the Eagles and Giants. Lott's tip simply tripped an EXHAUSTED Rams team. If Flipper gets the TD??? That game would have been epic. QUITE possibly a Rams win. The final most CERTAINLY would not have been 30 to 10 instead of the 30 to 3 outcome it was.
Come to think of it....Lott deflected us into a NINE year drought!
