I'm really not sure how he continues to revered as much as he is. YES, he has some amazing accomplishments in football, but he has also cheated the game and been caught. And that is what is KNOWN about him. The man was fined $500K for cheating; the largest fine for a coach in history.
They have been caught cheating in multiple ways, Spygate, Deflategate, falsifying injury reports (remember Talib's comments on that one?) steroids, etc.
In addition....and I don't know why this is overlooked: Bill has been the beneficiary of some of the most awful coaching from opponents in Super Bowl history. Quinn and Carroll handed them two Super Bowls. I won't go into their first game against the Rams, but it was up there with sheer stupidity (as well as cheating)....and then some of the odd things that went down against the Panthers..... ????
Did you see the announcement today regarding Josh Shaw of the Cardinals? Betting on football games, banned for upwards of two seasons. Billy has done things EQUALLY bad to the integrity of the game and went on coaching and they're making his HOF bust as we speak. BIZZARO!
Nah, he is an all time coach....but I will always consider him a cheater. The fact that their cheating has been so swept under a run is by FAR and away, the weirdest thing I've seen in sports in my lifetime.
