I thought the remark that this a referendum time for McVay, and then saying the seat isn't even warm just didn't reconcile well as an article
An OC may be in the making here.
A good catch by you on draft picks and the value the club still retains.
Not sure how they'll get their cap under control, but none of your suggestions are wildly off.
The cuts don't alarm me, but some retention of guys I like might be.
Kiser will be worth watching. He's a big kid, and smart. Being IR'd may not make him better at all, but for sure he'll be in the mix. He's 3 months into recovery of a pectoral. When can he be back up to football speed with that injury?
Will Fowler net us a pick? Hope so.
If there's a referendum to be assessed it might Havenstein?? He's had up and down times. He's been great; Paired with Saffold looked superb. If talking about money then they may have some regrets. Perhaps the kid was banged up all along this season.
Have not an idea about Cooks and Gurley. These are tough cap questions.
Feel like I'm one of the few who say Higbee is worthy. I'd be highly reticent to move on. OTOH, Everett's value as a receiver makes him a retention target. And brings about the question of Cooks for me. Higbee's value as a receiver is dashed now that they are having to keep more guys along the front to protect, but I'd be concerned if Everett and Mundt were next year's in line blockers.
