Yes, it will be interesting to see how Gurley's knee feels today or tomorrow given the work load. And I understand that, even if he were to feel fine, it doesn't mean that it's a situation that no longer needs to be monitored.

My problem is (and has been) Gurley/McVay/the organization operating under (what has appeared to be) an inflexible "pitch count" regardless of how he feels or is performing.

Down 3 - 0 at halftime in the Super Bowl, a healthy Todd Gurley (ask Patrick Chung) was unilaterally allowed to touch the ball 10 times while Goff struggled mightily.

Why? Because his knee might have been sore for the next 2 weeks of his off-season?

Like I said yesterday...there's some explaining to do about this pitch count.
