No, it assumes that Gurley is being used less than he is capable of being used and featured less when he's actually in the game. Take the Pittsburgh game. It's just another in a line of examples of Gurley being relegated to decoy or spectator and I've not heard any mention of him be physically unable to be in the game.
Gurley had that tipped pass that was intercepted in the playoffs and then a dropped pass to stall a drive and he seems to be in the dog house ever since. His receiving issues have gotten to the point where they don't even throw it to him anymore and his relative lack of carries in the red zone for no apparent reason all lead me to believe that it is something more than physical that is keeping him from being a bigger part of the offense.
Tyler, Dickerson and even SJ had fumbling issues at times but you don't quit riding your horse. If you're going to keep them, you use them. Gurley needs to work through his issues but they keep taking the ball out of his hands and aren't even trying to get him involved in the passing game. I know that he's had some yips when it comes to receptions but you just can't stop feeding him.
I really wish they'd get him out into pass patterns instead of just squatting down for a dump off.
