He can still run. Guys with arthritic knees can be productive RBs.
And "long term plans" in this case means after the 2020 season. You don't use a guy because he might be gone in a year and a half?
He can be and is productive, and they're paying him anyway. They will use him. In the meanwhile why get Henderson more banged up while wasting what good plays Gurley still has in him.
