"It's not working" strikes me as being an example of the fallacy whereby everything up for discussion is, one by one and in turn, THE cause of a loss.
Having Gurley didn't lose that game and running him more would not have won it.
IS USING GURLEY WORKING? Yes. IF your only consideration is, is he being effective as a back. Yes he is. Not the same ole Gurley but a good back nonetheless.
Having a productive rotational back who can handle half your carries is just not this rare, strange thing in the NFL.
Is it working to have a couple of rotational backs? YES. The backs are fine.
Are they winning? Well they lost the last game. Does that have anything to do with Gurley? No.
