Makes sense to me that there are a lot more serious problems than just saying everything is on course.
I’ve heard that approach taken by posters from 2005 to 2016.
Things don’t get fixed that easily.
And I have heard posters say that the Rams were years away when in fact they went to a couple of superbowls soon after that was said.
In 98 you heard the "doom is the only reality" schtick, and in 2017 before the season we heard it too.
But having said that, fact is---there is absolutely no poster I can think of who is right about stuff often enough to fly the "ha see what all the wrong people said" flag.
That is literally no one. No one individual I know of, from 2 decades of reading Rams posts now, has ever been right enough of the time to do that.
So...the smart move is to never do it.
...
We are seeing this 9 games into the season. There is a much clearer picture of what we’ve got then at the beginning of a season. The OL is a huge problem, it’s not on course to do anything except be one of the worst, if not the worst, OLs in the league. Trying to sell that they are on any kind of a successful course this year makes no sense to me.
Can it be fixed in the off-season? Of course, that’s always a possibility. But it ain’t being fixed this year. And they can always fail in fixing it next year. We just don’t know yet. So to declare that the OL has been successfully addressed is also not a smart move.
