Someday these tax and social issues (like the wildfires) that are already driving thousands of well to do out of California every year are really going to bite. There are good reasons to live in California. But when a person like Vinny who is in demand gets an opportunity to move to a low tax state with fewer issues, he has to consider it for the long term and for the long term good for his kids.
I know it's not a popular thought, but at some point it is going to begin to affect the choices that pro athletes make as to where they are willing to play. It actually might be already to some degree.
