That's interesting. I know people in their 70s who have lived in SFV most of their lives. To a person they say they have NEVER experienced what they have in the last couple of years. And the firestorms this year are the very worst. For sure the Santa Ana Winds and Diablo winds (Northern Cal) are a product of nature and have been with us since long ago. But never combined with the heat and wind MPH as we have now seen. You may not consider this the "norm" but your arguing against the experts who to a person say we are in fact looking at the new norm. To explain why we now have 70-85 MPH winds to push these fires one needs to look at how extreme high pressure systems race towards very low pressure systems. And then look at the historical data (what's available) when it comes to the difference in our high pressure systems over the last number of years compared to the past. Something IS different and it is not an anomaly.
