but I saw Gurley mostly get stuffed but he had a couple of longer runs which brought his average up
I thought Henderson was consistent and showed great burst
My eyes tell me Gurley is not giving this offense the juice or consistency that it needs to function at max efficiency

... are runs, both from Henderson and from Brown (when healthy), that have me thinking: Gurley would not have made that play. That play against Atlanta, a 3rd-and-1, I think where a Falcons DL has major penetration into the backfield. Henderson shrugs off the tackle, plunges ahead for 2 and the first down. Looks like a mediocre run one the stat sheet but I'm thinking - NO way Gurley gets that first down there.
In fact, when Gurley jukes a guy in space or pulls out of a tackle or drags someone for a few extra, I'm positively surprised. The only exception in within the 10. Gurley is motivated to score and he looks for all the world to me like a different and much better back when the end zone is near. That's both encouraging and damning, if my observation is fair.
Clearly, our OL is not doing strong run-blocking work. But in the 80 yds between the 10 and 10, I think Henderson and Brown serve this offense much better than TGIII at this point.
