Part of that is they get handed 6 wins a year from their division which has been a joke for over a decade. Green Bay wasn't even in the playoffs last year . The Falcons are 3 years from a superbowl loss and have completely disintegrated. San Fran won 4 games last year. 3 years ago the Saints won 7 games - with Drew Brees.
Teams rise and fall - it happens. Each year, every team is different in some way than the year before. This is not the 2018 Rams - they are trying to figure out who they are.
I do think with Goff and McVay and Snead and an Owner with open pockets - we willl be competitive year in and year out. That's all you can really hope for. Some years we'll be better than others. I don't foresee a sudden collapse like the Falcons. Nor do I expect to mirror the Patriots. That is a once in a generation circumstance. Hopefully father time will finally catch up to them.
