I'm not sure the answer or if it can be pinpointed to one thing.
Here are my best guesses
A. The Oline is below average
I think most would agree?
I think we miss Saffold a lot more than most would have thought. Whit a year older nearing the end still fairly solid but has been beat this year and has been flagged more than I recall in past.
B.Gurley the enigma ? I think he's still a totally serviceable guy and Good RB...but I'd be lying to myself if I said he is same guy...I think it's obvious he's not ....if injury why no disclosure ? Is he what PR sees as most marketable recognizable Ram and they don't want fan base knowing he's damaged goods going into new building when still selling PSL's probably a reach on my part.
C. Some injuries in secondary
D. Not knocking McVay I for one am a big fan.
I think it's reasonable that DC's are very good on this look they have more tape on him now and figuring out his tendencies better.
E. Are Super Bowl hangovers real ...a question ? Maybe maybe not
That all being said
We are what is a usual chip shot for GZ from being 6-2
Unfortunately the miners are proving they are real so maybe that game just a hard fought loss.... The TB game is really my only WTF loss?
So just my opinion the sky isn't falling
and other than Pats teams just don't necessarily go to the SB every year
