they can make an elite player work in their scheme. However Peters is just a bad fit for what Wade wants to call and most Rams fans want to see on defense. It was why I was ALWAYS more of a Jackrabbit guy over a TruJo. Trujo seemed better in zone and jackrabbit was more of the man cover type. I prefer a guillotine to a death by a thousand cuts. I prefer the double move over the top TD to giving a large cushion and allowing 10 straight 8 yard completions because of soft coverage. Ramsey will get got from time to time even primetime did but I prefer that style of play than the soft zone the Rams have played more often than not in the last 15 years. Back to the point, Wade said I can make an elite player work in my scheme and Peters is elite at what he does, that just doesn't fit what the scheme is. Sort of like Wade installing a 3-4 on a team without any good linebackers (well maybe AO was considered good) but had the deepest DL in the league.
