Maybe I'm different but I feel for anyone who due to no fault of their own has their ( not yours not mine not anyone else's but his own) hopes and expectations never being realized. It has zilch to do with how good he was for a few years, or how much money he has in the bank, or how well off he might be in the future or especially how your or me might feel in his case. Its what's inside of him that counts -and while you or I might feel different that might not be the case with a high caliber professional athlete. Someone who might expect more of themselves than you or I could ever imagine. And yes I do NOT have anything to judge on how he is internalizing this other than what I see on tv. Who knows-he may be the happiest person outside of Disneyland.
