I would say that he has no clarity on Gurley at all. Those kinds of thoughts do not come from analysis, which is his forte, that's all pure speculation on his part, and it's speculation that is not consistent with all the facts.

In terms of defending Goff, IMO you're just going to have to recognize that it is entirely possible to have a completely different take on the situation then yours. For example, Waldman accounts for the kinds of effects poor OL play has on a qb. When it comes to that, I vote--unlike you---that his analysis is dead on.

It gets down to a opinion and judgment calls. I would say you do not factor in the OL situation ENOUGH. I mean you don't deny it, you don't factor it in ENOUGH. That's my take. Yours is different.

But when the football gods announce who they have blessed with the power of always only seeing and saying what is the truth, we'll know.
