Not really sure. OL was bad all day, with or without Noteboom. I think Jackie Slater’s opinion is very valid. Too small w short arms may be the problem w our interior OL. Surprised McVay and Kramer didn’t pick up on that in the off-season. Also, I think not playing them in the off-season and giving them experience was a big mistake so I think that was not only not addressed but a big error in judgement.
It was bad when they drove down the field against a top D to score an opening TD?
Noteboom btw does not have short arms.
They scouted those guys and deliberately chose them. Kromer has coached good OLs for years, he knows players. I would think that if short arms on one of them (Blythe) were an actual issue, he would have noticed.
The whole "not addressed" thing is, just quite frankly, wrong. It's exactly the wrong thing to say.
You may not like the results at this point...but it
was addressed. You need a more accurate term. Cause they did address the OL.
And it's easy enough to discuss the issues if we don't get hung up on putting it completely inaccurately. Yes when a team that has one of the best OL coaches in the league (a guy with a long good track record) goes out and drafts 5 OL in 2 years, it is
addressing the OL. It just is.
Again you may not like the results or might prefer a different approach--but it is simply straightforwardly untrue to say they did not ADDRESS it.
