Snead does not have the lone responsibility of deciding contracts. That's done collectively, That would amount to being a committee of McVay, Snead, Demoff, and Pastoors.
As a rule, any statement about the Rams organization that assumes Snead is a traditional "uber" style GM who makes all the major team-building decisions by himself is just going to be, frankly, wrong. The Rams front office just quite simply does not work that way.

Other posters seem to think that we should just go down to Walmart and buy 5 new elite OL players. Geez, I WISH it were that easy.
Nope, these OL issues (mistakes) were baked into the cake last summer. Now the Rams have to develop and adjust as best they can for this season. Sigh...
