I know they both didn't have winning records but in 2012 the Rams were 3-5 and 49ers 6-2 when they met at Candlestick in that really good game that ended in a 24-24 tie. That seemed like a relatively higher stakes game because Fisher had brought the Rams back to legitimacy and it was a game to see if the Rams could really be playoff contenders.
