but any failure as an NFL QB watching Goff have zero pressure and wide open WR's for a year and a half is going to be a bit jealous. And then when things got tough through a stretch of games without Kupp and Gurley basically, Goff didn't put up the same numbers. Now Goff is in a more familiar setting for QB's. No running game, no time to throw and receivers not open. And he still got the Rams back in it and carried the team on his shoulders.
I've always thought that Goff was a QB you can win with... I was hoping he might make another leap and be a QB who can actually win games. Unfortunate outcome of one game but promising for the future. IMO
That said. Run the ball and protect your franchise QB. Put this Jared Goff in a time machine back to the 2017 Rams and I'm guessing we would see all sorts of records broken. I think he has improved that much.... still a ways to go but hopeful.
