Depends on a team's identity

September 26, 2019 11:35AM
Most good teams are known for one or the other.

Everyone knows the Bears are a great defense with a mediocre offense. Now, if their defense showed poorly, people would be all over that, even if their offense had improved.

With us, it's the reverse. We lit up the league for 1.5 years on the offensive side and our D was the more erratic unit. Right now, our O has slipped, and that's what people fix on because that was our brand.

It depends on identity, and those brandings take time to adapt.

But you're right. Our defense is much better and that matters as much as the offensive slippage does.
